My Focus on The Spouse is going better than it did last week. I was more intentional seeking out time to spend with him when it worked for him. I have more free time and flexibility in my day, so it makes sense I do the work to make the room.
Having the time to play and explore is life changing. Healing can be achieved through both play and creative expression. I am blessed with more time than many in my world, which I use to garden, and paint, take photographs and write, beyond future self journaling.
Another day, another list of reasons to make healthy choices today. Rocking the 30 day challenges.
Writing out how my challenges are going helps me realize both The Sps and I have been a bit too busy for each other the past few days. This future self journaling is great for me keeping me accountable and present with some important facets of my life.
Other challenges met, I am getting my logging done still. Four whole days in a row!! I met my watch step goal but not my personal step goal. Started day with squash casserole, a double helping, so got my veggies in. Five reasons to make healthy choices are:
The primary challenge, more attentiveness to the spouse, was successful as well. I did a check in with him and he expressed that he felt his love language wasn’t being heard like he needed these days, as we have both been busier. I asked for example, which he bristled at initially, yet when I expressed I wasn’t clear on what he was asking for, he provided me examples.

My future self journaling today is my damn diet. Nightfall arrives and I am RAVENOUS and not the sexy kind, the chips and crackers kind. I swear, my brain is just raging that it has to have food, which I know is not the case. The hunger fights me, ever single minute. Punch, dodge, Punch, dodge. Relentless.
The journaling is part of a 30 Day Challenge I started almost a year ago. I consider that a component of the Future Self Journaling process. The gratefulness notes near the bottom of each self improvement post is also a specific and helpful part of Future Self Journaling.
