Series – Future Self Journaling – 2F – Rituals for Living Dreambook

Relationship and Family Q4-6. Answer as though the ideal has been attained. Future Self Journaling!

Q4. How do you feel when you’re talking to your partner? When you’re expressing something that matters to you or makes you feel vulnerable?
-The majority of the time, I am listened to, demonstrated by active listening. I am challenged (gently) and supported (strongly). I feel heard.

Q5. In your ideal family life, how does it feel when everybody is home together.
-light-hearted, fun, with jokes and conversation flowing in all directions. Ok if TV or music is on, to aid the comfort of the less social.

Q6. What do you and your family members do together.
-We talk to each-other. We share happy memories and light-hearted stories. We share conversations about our favorite things. We watch TV, listen to music, play board games and card games; get lost in conversation. Time together is quality over quantity as so many of us appreciate our private time. There is always good food, hopefully grown and made by me and appreciate by all.

Grateful For:

-A day without an accident. I didn’t cut myself, scrape anything or need a band-aid.

-Grocery shopping was easy and only one item was out of stock, and it wasn’t a critical item (peach).

-I cleaned out my fridge and had room for all the holiday groceries!

-No Covid for me nor anyone I care about. Still. It’s officially been two years since the first case in Wuhan. Two YEARS!!! That just blows my mind.

Godspeed y’all!

This content was previously written to ensure this was a true series, and to share insights that hindsight provides.

Quick recap to orient what is going on… The web journaling you are currently reading is part of a 30 Day Challenge I started almost a year ago. I consider that a component of the Future Self Journaling process. The gratefulness notes near the bottom of each self improvement post is also a specific and helpful part of Future Self Journaling.
