Series – Future Self Journaling – 14E – Garden Chores

The hard frost comes tomorrow night. I am not ready. The environment around here lately has been tumultuous, with all of us on edge, pre-occupied. A crisis required all hand on deck for a short time, and now we survey all we put aside during that time. And it is a mess. Garden chores call.

That said, I would like to acknowledge what I have accomplished thus far today.

-Took a load or trash to the dump, providing more storage in the garage. Some large cardboard boxes would have been a pain to fold over four times to fit in the recyclables.

-Visited some family I was apprehensive about seeing. It went well. I felt supported.

-Harvested seeds for next year. Basil and snapdragon.

-Pulled up some plants for the compost.

-Another harvest! Did not I would still have peppers and even a few maters to harvest the last week of November in zone 5, but here we are.

-Finished labeling dahlias.

-Collecting 12 bags of leaves from a friend, for my garden!

Grateful for:

-peppers in VERY late October (Halloween is tomorrow?!).

-The gift of fall colors still taking my breath away and it’s almost November

-having a productive day

-traffic gods made almost all the lights green for all our running around today. Thanks!

Godspeed y’all
