Series – Future Self Journaling – 15E – Questions 7 thru 9 – Rituals For Living Nourish

Questions part of the CONNECT chapter, one.

Connect Q7. What feels really nourishing in your life? Taking care of others in my home. I feel enriched by my work as a housewife. The period of time where I was a stay at home mom to little ones was one of the happiest chapters of my life. I feel like a cup filled up when people seek advice or have questions about some unique experiences I have had. Planting seeds, whether an idea or my garden. I am born to grow things. Aren’t we all?

Connect Q8. Of all the things you have done or accomplished in your life, what has given you the deepest sense of fulfillment? When have you been the most proud of yourself?

Watching my children evolve, retaining the qualities I love most about them, in the face of challenges. My children are kind, curious and generous. Beyond proud of watching my children live our value system which is intended to leave the world better than we find it. I am fulfilled (and traumatized, to be honest, double edged blade) by a life defined by seeking. Knowledge, experiences and interesting people. I am a story people tell and a storyteller.

Connect Q9. Where do you find yourself not being fully “present” in your life, or not participating fully. I do not speak Quality Time as a love language, unless it is under my terms and when it serves me. I am fanatical about timecost. I am very aware of any intrusion (see?) on my time. There is a balance, one should be protective and make conscientious, deliberate choices regarding time, but hoarding it to the point people do not feel valued by you is too far a swing in the other direction.

Grateful For:

-the late arrival of fall. I am so behind on garden chores! It’s the last day of October and the trees still have half their leaves. The grass is green, needs mowing. I have a blooming dahlia! In zone 5? This is unusual.

-Leaving a bite or two of food on my plate, when I didn’t have a lot in the first place.

-The Sps getting back to having a productive week.

Godspeed Y’all.

This content was previously written to ensure this was a true series, and to share insights.

Quick recap to orient the reader what is going on, the purpose of vlogging this process. The journaling is part of a 30 Day Challenge I started over a year ago. I consider that a component of the Future Self Journaling process. The gratefulness notes near the bottom of each self improvement post is also a specific and helpful part of Future Self Journaling. The Rituals for Live Dreambook was given to me by my children, so why not add this to my blogging/future self journaling time?
