Tomatoes We are Growing – 2023

All seeds grown in the high wind prairie, Midwest, in macro-climate zone 5(ish). Average dewpoint in summer is around 60. Soil is a loamy clay. Although my preference is organic, I have used commercial fertilizers from time to time. Growing Days approximately 135. Gardening Personality: Relaxed, experimental, purist about very little. I practice High Intensity gardening.

This year will showcase the most varieties and number of plants I have ever grown. I want to wow everyone by demonstrating how very much one can grow in a single suburban backyard. I also wish to provide as much growing and tasting info as possible, to share with other gardeners who want to know all about some more unique varieties of tomato. I am happy you are here!

Dwarf Varieties

Dwarf refers to the size of the plant, not the size of the fruit. I honestly don’t pay much attention to whether a tomato plant is a dwarf or not. Maybe I should? *shrug*
