What feels really nourishing in your life? Taking care of others in my home. I feel enriched by my work as a housewife. The period of time where I was a stay at home mom to little ones was one of the happiest years of my life. I feel like a cup filled up when people seek advice or have questions about some unique experiences I have had. Planting seeds, whether an idea or my garden. I am born to grow things. Aren’t we all?
The hard frost comes tomorrow night. I am not ready. The environment around her lately has been tumultuous, with all of us on edge, pre-occupied. A crisis required all hand on deck for a short time, and now we survey all we put aside during that time. And it is a mess. Garden chores call.
Anyone else play guess-the-weight? This year I grew the largest squash yet. The type was a Musquee De Provence, my “Bourdain” squash. As it’s a moschata cultivar and therefore impervious to the devil squash borer, this type winter squash actually get full size for me. This year I grew a THIRTY-EIGHT pound pumpkin!!!
First time I saw one of James Prigioni’s videos, I found James a touch extra. Yet when he or anyone else teaches me something new, and important, I become a fan. I am even a cheerleader for his high energy, and honestly, we fast talkers should support each other.
