Chapter Three – Relationship & Family Q1-3. Assume answering question as though goal attained in three years time.
Q1. Describe your primary love relationship. In three years? Hopefully not too different than I have now. Greater financial security to ease lingering stress. Maintaining the intimacy we have now, and the sense of teamwork we share. Primary love relationship physically healthier and more active. Camping trips and hikes in the state parks. Self actualization for both of us.
Q2. In this ideal relationship, what do you give, receive, create and experience together. Consider all the realm of your relationship, including love, intimacy, friendship, support and play? I give him his love languages. Physical touch and quality time. Be an outlet for his stress, in healthy ways, i.e. be an active listener, research helpful concepts for the business. I am involved financially, continuing to assist with the business. Continue to ensure he has time to pursue his passion with my work cooking, cleaning and parenting. I will receive a teammate who is strong where I am weak. A honest sounding board. Continues to insist I be my best self, not just for him or me, but for the world we inhabit. He’s a supportive best friend and a person who keeps me mentally stimulated and brings topics to every patio, walk and dinner table conversation. I receive my love language, verbal affirmation. We continue to create art and love and experience the same. Our life is active, mentally, intimately and day-to-day.
Q3. How do you grow from being in this relationship? Continued insistence to be my kindest self and continued support smoothing the rocky path of the past. The more I walk the path, the smoother and easier it is to travel upon it. I am doing the work but he is the wind at my back. Make no mistake, I am a high maintenance person with a high maintenance partner, but that is the kind of partner that suits me best and keeps me achievement minded. And I for him.
Grateful for:
-green grass in mid November. Taking the dog out these days just isn’t as much of a pita as usual. It gets cold this week, but still no snow on the ground. Only one short snowfall this year yet and it melted in a day or two.
-Christmas presents all purchased. I need to grab some candy for the stockings, but that is all. Toblerone and Andes mints. 🙂
-annoying neighbors seem to be keeping to themselves as of late. Gotta love it. Thanks universe!
Godspeed Y’all!

Quick recap, the purpose of vlogging this process. The journaling is part of a 30 Day Challenge I started over a year ago. I consider that a component of the Future Self Journaling process. The gratefulness notes near the bottom of each self improvement post is also a specific and helpful part of Future Self Journaling. The Rituals for Living Dreambook was given to me by my children, so why not add this to my blogging/future self journaling time?
