I am on the struggle bus today, I think it ran me over actually. My body has decided it prefers random naps than a solid sleep schedule. Again. And right on cue, I am getting tired right before I have an errand I have to run.
On the good side, that nap is going to feel amazing once I get home.
Five Reasons to Make Healthy Choices Today
- My hard work last night means less stress and work today, more rest!
- A news break is good for my mental health. President Manchin is terrible for my blood pressure.
- Best be as healthy as possible to keep self out of a hospital that has no room for the vaccinated should a non-covid emergency arise. Dangerous to be ill or injured right now.
- And do I really want to hurt someone’s back who has to care for me by my being overweight? Even these few extra pounds can make moving someone more difficult.
- Ever seen the cadaver of someone even slightly overweight? Oof.
I have holiday cookies in the house. I am not eating as many as other years, but still munching. On the good side, I ended the eating day with a huge salad with spinach, mixed lettuce, some carrots, cabbage and a spicy Thai dressing. Dessert was a family favorite, jello with raspberries. Pretty sure I easily met my fiber goal.
Watching football and noticing the mics are better than ever. F bombs and random screaming from loud fans at the Vikings-Bears game.
Grateful For:
-My nails!!!! I chose a sparkly festive light red at the salon and it’s SO PRETTY!!! I am generally a tasteful pink or taupe girl. Not this season.
-Now I am actually done Christmas shopping, all gifts are wrapped. I thought I was done before, but no. Such a busy time of year!
-One kiddo had a heavy book of modern art on their wish-list, which I purchased. This kiddo is just like their Dad in looks and interests, so them showing a serious interest in art, my thing, makes my heart sing. That interest was sparked and fed from Mama! I AM in there! Grateful.
-The Sps met an important goal and I am just the proudest!
Godspeed y’all!

Quick recap to orient the reader what is going on, sharing the purpose of vlogging this process. The journaling is part of a 30 Day Challenge I started over a year ago. I consider that a component of the Future Self Journaling process. The gratefulness notes near the bottom of each self improvement post is also a specific and helpful part of Future Self Journaling.
