Checking in with my goals. I swear, garden season appears, other concerns disappear. Completely. I reviewed my previous installation detailing what I want to accomplish this year. The year is over half over already, time has rushed by so fast I ceased to see most of it!
I follow Dr. Nicole Le Pera on Insta so I am touching base with her content often. I haven’t read the book in a few months. And I completely forgot I bought the workbook! Thank you for the times I did the journaling so I know where I was when I need to pick it all back up.
The garden is my happy place and it’s life-affirming to spend time in the sun, so I am not going to beat myself up for pushing so much aside. I do far more reading, journaling and self-work in the colder months. Summertime heat and sunshine seems to literally let fall a cheery haze of contentedness, where I don’t see work needing to be done as easily. It requires a stronger consequence to capture my attention. The approach of fall reminds me of the all the cold-weather tasks I’ve let fall to the wayside.
I imagine I am not the only person wooed by summer and its siren call.

So today is simply a check in. I took a look at my daily task list I’ve happily neglected since April. I set the intention to complete a certain number of the tasks, requiring me to check items off and actually READ each list item.
So here I am.

Grateful For:
- Apparently I have actually completed a few of the tasks on my Dreambook list!
- Our dog accidently ate a grape. We caught it soon enough to get it back. He is fine!
- Reconnecting with an old friend.

I hope the end of summer brings you all much sun and cheer.
