Series – Future Self Journal – 13C – Plum – Tasks

Knocking them out! I went though my saved file and deleted the extraneous. The day before, I made more progress with my paper hoard. I save notebooks, notecards, mail, circulars, ALL the garden catalogues, and everything “I’m going to go through”.

Hence, one of my daily tasks is to go through and either file/delete or trash 25 items whether notebook items, emails, photos or anything that needs attention. This task alone has made me feel more together, far tidier and the end of what seems to be a small task always makes me smile and do a little dance.

Another daily task is the dishes. It is a requirement that I end the night with an empty sink or an empty dishwasher. I’ve found that once I empty the dishwasher, I always take the next ten minutes filling it, if needed, and taking a moment or two to give the counters a last wipe. I am not a neat freak, but any definition. I have never been one to feel bad about neglecting after dinner dishes for a snuggle or some relaxation. Still don’t but I really like leaving the kitchen tidy each night with no dishes waiting for me in the morning. My Next Morning self loves this new emerging habit!

Grateful for:

  1. Another day of lovely walking weather.
  2. Got The Pup to settle down and he napped with me. He never does that. Edit: he does this all the time now.
  3. Received my Ispy order. I forgot it was coming so was a nice surprise. I usually don’t like the make-up bags they send, but this month I loved it!! It’s plastic, which is great for smears and spill clean up. The accents are baby blue, one of my favorite colors.
  4. Covid free, for yet another day. I am grateful, so grateful for a life that requires me to leave my bubble next to never.

    Godspeed y’all!

The Future Self Journal includes this weblog entry as one of my first 30 days challenges I completed months ago, and am still practicing. https://theholisticpsychologist.com/future-self-journaling/
