The goal of the home gardener’s cold stratification process is to mimic the winter conditions the seed in the wild would experience in the habitat that plant is best suited for. In my own example, Gentian is a mountain flower. The seed, in the wild, would cold stratify under snowpack (moist) in a cold environment with freezing temperatures.

Rituals for Living exercises. Continues to insist I be my best self, not just for him or me, but for the world we inhibit. He’s a supportive best friend and a person who keeps me mentally stimulated and brings topics to every patio, walk and dinner table conversation. I receive my love language, verbal affirmation. We continue to create art and love and experience the same.
