Series – Future Self Work – 14F – Rituals for Living Journaling

Chapter Five of the Rituals For Living Dreambook, Physical Wellness. Questions 4-6. Answer the question as your future self three years from now, as though you have attained your goal.

4. How is your relationship to exercise, and how do you keep your body in good shape? I am smart with exercise, resisting the urge to make up for lost workout by pushing to hard and hurting myself. I enjoy daily movement, with the occasional structured workout, old school Tae Bo, HIIT or Paula B, low impact. My clumsiness is a fact I simply have to work with instead of fight against. A short yoga session is a daily habit as part of my morning stretches. Tree pose and Sun Salutation poses are my favorites! Walking always has been and always will be a core activity. My mind need exercise, and not just mental work, but physical work. For me, a tired body helps calm a busy brain.

5. How do you feed your body? What do you eat and how do you eat? I am primarily adherent to the M.I.N.D., D.A.S.H. nutrition lifestyles, with room to celebrate special occasions off plan. My nutritive focus is high vitamin, high fiber. My body is well hydrated with water my primary beverage. Pop is special, perhaps allowed one day a week. Per hormone and lifestyle fluctuations, my eating schedule is very flexible. Intermittent fasting is fine, as is OMAD (one meal and day) and having multiple meals scheduled throughout the day, until nightfall, when the focus is on healthy choices or not eating at all. Red meat consumption is once or twice a week. Food is only allowed in the bedroom for nefarious purpose.

6. How is your energy. My energy fluctuates with the appropriateness of the daily events. Calm is good. A friendly energy when I connect with others. My energy is high in the morning, energized by my routine, and low at night, so I can slide into a solid rest state. My mental energy and where I spend it is a primary focus.

I really liked this section of questions! I find journaling about health makes me feel hopeful and get ideas.

Grateful For:

-The Sps is KILLING IT. So proud! He’s made a lot of productive shifts in thinking and habit, not easy.

-Eagles win! woo-hoo!

-still no snow, no deep cold. The higher temps are expected to continue!

Godspeed Y’all!

Quick recap. The journaling is part of a 30 Day Challenge I started almost a year ago. I consider that a component of the Future Self Journaling process. The gratefulness notes near the bottom of each self improvement post is also a specific and helpful part of Future Self Journaling. The Rituals for Live Dreambook was given to me by my children, so why not add this to my blogging/future self journaling time?
