The Rituals for Living Dreambook provides an example of mind mapping, then provides space to create your own mind-maps at different time intervals, future self journaling. Mind-map where your future self in one year, three years, ten years ect, using the previous answered questions as a prompt.

I did do my own future self mind-mapping, in three areas. I will list my bullet points for Enhancing Connections. I have it all in the traditional format, but my handwriting has not evolved past early elementary school age and I am not about to share that with people.

Seriously, I failed Handwriting in third grade.

Onward.

  • Invite friends and neighbors to go for walk n talks
  • more dinners out with friends where we shut down the place with conversation
  • expand donation network
  • frequent check-ins with my circle
  • listen more, talk less
  • seek opportunities to help more
  • pay more attention to love languages of my favorite people
  • participate in book clubs and Goodreads


    I found the mind maps fun to do, honestly. I’ll do the Three Year next and share that in the next installment.


    Grateful For:

    -that my hunger is a choice. That is a blessing worthy of a post all its own.

    -The Sps was rewarded handsomely for some work he did, and seeing how much it has made him feel valued and less stressed is lovely.

    -A New Year started uneventfully.

    -No Covid in my circle of influence. Still. It’s been two years! Thank you scientists, nurses and environmental specialists. SO MANY have a part to play in my health. Many Thanks!

Quick recap, the purpose of vlogging this process. The journaling is part of a 30 Day Challenge I started over a year ago. I consider that a component of the Future Self Journaling process. The gratefulness notes near the bottom of each self improvement post is also a specific and helpful part of Future Self Journaling.

My children purchased the Rituals for Living Dreambook for me, so I thought that would be another helpful task in the future self journaling and 30 day challenge experience.
