I am a lucky wife. I married someone who has a similar tolerance to clutter that I do. If I married a neat freak, I would be so very very screwed. Miserable, and whiny. I hate dusting and don’t do it near enough, and he notices dust less than I do. I would rather sit and chat after a meal and leave the dishes for later. He doesn’t mind that either. Me handling the cooking and cleaning is the price of staying home and I pay it with a smile. He has the burden of breadwinning, while I have the joy of bread baking. I feel beyond spoiled by my life, so if one day he approached me to request I increase the quality of my housekeeping, I would.
But holy hell am I glad he hasn’t.
What is The Spoiled One grateful for today?
1. One week completed habit building. In fact, today I am completing this writing task in the afternoon, instead of late at night. That alone is a win, and step up the stairs to success.
2. I have a week off homeschooling (or homework monitoring, more honestly). I get to sleep in, take naps and not have the stress of being The Enforcer. Yeah, I am good at it, but I do not like it as much as people often assume. Mentally peaceful me is so much better, for everyone.
3. Graph paper. For everything. It’s fun. As a garden planner and list maker…for fun, a new graphing notebook is Christmas.
Godspeed y’all!
