Series – Future Self Journaling – 30E – Task Complete!

Kinda. I did list five reason to make healthy choices a few days a week, resulting in a long lovely list I shared with you all (link at bottom of page). I like the results. Often I will ponder the many reasons, and come up with new reason to work at being physically and mentally well, even if I forget to write the reasons down at the end of the day. I already know how it will go, I won’t continue this task every day, but I will refer back to my list from time to time, and share new reasons if I happen to think about them as I am blogging.

I found the task worthwhile.

Future Self Journaling – 30 Day Challenge

  1. What behavior was I intending to change with the 30 Day Challenge Task? Keep my mind in a healthy mindset to assist healthier habits. Lists can be effective for me.
  2. What are some helpful affirmation statements regarding this challenge? I will list the reasons to make healthy choices when confronted with an unhealthy choice. Reaffirming that I have agency here.
  3. What behaviors changes will need to be demonstrated to complete this task?

    I have an opportunity to be my future self today when I: Stop before engaging in a self-defeating behavior to remind myself of the results of good choices. Results of good choices CREATES the future self I wish to be.

And the easiest and vital piece of future self journaling I complete daily and without fail…

Quick recap, the purpose of vlogging this process. The journaling is part of a 30 Day Challenge I started over a year ago. I consider that a component of the Future Self Journaling process. The gratefulness notes near the bottom of each self improvement post is also a specific and helpful part of Future Self Journaling. The Rituals for Living Dreambook was given to me by my children, so why not add this to my blogging/future self journaling time?
