Series – Future Self Journaling – 16F – Rituals for Living Dreambook

Chapter Five of the Rituals For Living Dreambook, Physical Wellness. Questions 7-9. Answer the question as your future self three years from now, as though you have attained your goal.

7. How is your sleep. A solid 7-8 hours with few nighttime breaks, no snacking and awaken with ALL the snuggles. I wear my fitness watch and continue to monitor the quality of my sleep. I only nap during the day when I need to. My bedtime is within a predictable 2 hour window. I keep my bedroom dusted to reduce need for allergy meds, especially in the spring when I often have the windows open. I fall asleep without any chemical assistance. My family is as protective of my sleep as I am.

8. How does it feel when you take a deep breath? Easy. My lungs expand with ease as they always have. I am living in a place where the air is clear and healthy, and moist, like in my tomato cave. I only need allergy medication during the worst of allergy season. The home humidifier is used to counter dry air.

9. How are your strength and flexibility? I continue to handle garden chores, shoveling our corner lot and other physical tasks without much difficulty. I rarely have to grab The Sps to help with more arduous tasks. My joints function without discomfort. My flexibility is good as I have a solid yoga and walking routine. I easily pass the sit and rise test. Granted, I am not yet in the age range where the test is a useful barometer of gonna-dieness, but I am not scoring a ten on that damn thing as of this writing.

Grateful For

-a positive interaction with negative neighbor.

-teamwork getting the driveway shoveled, and helped some good neighbors with a broken snowblower.

-funny gifs. I swear, I wish I were close friends with anyone who reads this because I use three of the funniest gifs I have only seen on Telegram. OMG. It’s the little things, sometimes.

-logging has been a great help getting me back on track with some helpful habits, such as reaching out to people I don’t see that often.

Godspeed y’all!

This content was previously written to ensure this was a true series, and to share insights.

Quick recap to the purpose of vlogging this process. The journaling is part of a 30 Day Challenge I started over a year ago. I consider that a component of the Future Self Journaling process. The gratefulness notes near the bottom of each self improvement post is also a specific and helpful part of Future Self Journaling. The Rituals for Live Dreambook was given to me by my children, so why not add this to my blogging/future self journaling time? Not sponsored, I am not compensated for any of this…I might add an affiliate link, someday. But nothing yet.
