Rituals for Living Dreambook, mind mapping, can be an effective exercise within future self journaling. This CBT mind-mapping exercise tackles the Lifetime goal. Mind-map as your future self and think about what you have achieved in your life. Choose three life goals. Be specific regarding actions you will take to meet your overall lifetime goals.
The Mind-map example I will vlog about today is Giving. On my deathbed, when I toss the event in my life around in my nostalgic mind, I want my thoughts to be focused on what I gave the world and the loved ones that world.
What a Lifetime of GIVING means to me.
- filling the relationship bank accounts of those I adore with happy memories
- leaving people with the feeling I understood and spoke their love language
- create a work of art representing the causes I support
- leave letters and stories for everyone who left a piece of themselves within me
- thank you and I appreciate you, expressed in manner that works best for them
- feeding people, literally. Gardens are never for the benefit of a single person
- continuous self improvement, to be a better person for others as much as for myself
- do the one thing, every day, that makes the world a more enriching place for all
- make sure my apologies are only extended to someone if the recognition would benefit the other person. At the end of the day, sorry is an action, not a word.
Same as love.
We came up with a family motto, when my firstborn was just a baby. Protect and Defend those who need it, when they need it. Never be the person who stands by.
Stand in front.
Grateful for:
-life
-a comfortable bed. We bought a new mattress. I am in love.
-Covid free, still. Grateful for Moderna vaxx and booster shots. And masks, social distancing, friends and family who care about the health of others. And delivery! Tip the shoppers and drivers crazy good. They, all workers in fact, need to be paid a living wage.
Godspeed y’all!

Quick recap, the purpose of vlogging this process. The journaling is part of a 30 Day Challenge I started over a year ago. I consider that a component of the Future Self Journaling process. The gratefulness notes near the bottom of each self improvement post is also a specific and helpful part of Future Self Journaling. The Rituals for Living Dreambook was given to me by my children, so why not add this to my blogging/future self journaling time?
