Today a few people on the outside periphery of my little circle popped up Covid positive today. STAY BACK. I don’t care to see the erosion of the safety I treasure here in my properly disinfected bubble. The Sps works outside the home, which I hate. He has a job that can be done from home, but his employer is a a conservative that doesn’t believe in doing what is best for the health *and productivity* of his workers. Gotta be able to stare at them while they work, dontcha know. Sps has a job people contract for and freelance, from their homes. No reason his boss can’t give enough of a shit about his employees to send them home to work. In any case, the Sps comes home and does his protocol where he washes up and changes clothes before coming to the dinner table. Most days I disinfect all the touchy surfaces. Remotes, light switches, door knobs, cabinet handles, faucets et al. I get groceries delivered, and visit nobody. If I get Covid, I am going to be so goddamn mad.*
Do I visit the Herman Cain Award subreddit? Yes, yes I do. It does seem to be changing some minds and encouraging vaccination. Truth in ya face does a greater good.
*As of this edit, no covid for me. Masks and social distancing and the vaxx For The Win. Even better, I have protected my friends and family.
Grateful? Yes, I sure as hell am.
