Series – Future Self Journal – 5B – Frisson!

I love learning new words!

Frisson. Definition: a sudden strong feeling of excitement or fear; a thrill. Word is used to describe a feeling when experiencing an audio or visual event that causes a physical response, i.e. chills.

I also love reddit, because I learn new words. Some of them very bad.

Last night when I completed my future self journaling, I apparently forgot to finish the last questions, as I went on and on writing my Gratefuls list. It happens.

I have also been spending a moment each morning and evening to set an intention for the current and next day. Not finding that successful. Perhaps my brain is getting annoyed with all these extra tasks I add each day. Hard to imagine as adding to a list is my favorite…

I am grateful for:

  1. Finding new books to read! I came across a book about the history of seed gathering. I look forward to reviewing the book. After I buy and read it, of course.
  2. My health! Covid free. I also recently purchased a more expensive blood pressure testing unit. Used The Sps as a test to see how close it got to a medical personnel administered test and it was nearly identical the two times we had an opportunity to check the difference. A nice surprise. My BP has dropped approximately 20 points over the course of 6 months, both systolic and diastolic. This morning my blood pressure was 111/69. Thrilled! My blood pressure reading went from consistently elevated to consistently normal with a few dietary changes.
-reduced my Pepsi consumption to once a week.
-loosely follow DASH/Med/MIND diet, primary reducing red meat consumption to once or twice a week. I haven’t managed to reduce butter. Love the stuff.
-I enjoy vegetables, yet still increased consumption further.
  3. Another day of lovely walking weather. It feels good to mark consecutive X’s, logging my exercise.
  4. Doing good with my water consumption. Doing good. I like water, I just forget sometimes.

Godspeed Y’all!
