Apparently. Three days in a row I only completed the Grateful portion of journaling. I am going to go back and read the instructions and see if I can find any other examples to lead me in a more productive direction with the other portions of journaling. That said, I do feel journaling has had a positive impact on my productivity. Greater than I assumed. While my initial goal was simply to journal my experience here, I find myself more driven to complete other tasks. Today was filled with errands, and therefore exhausting to me. Yesterday I got a lot done.
-Made my bed. Before you freak, it is actually better not to make your bed every single day. I am not lying! Have got to find that study. Anyway, I made my bed. Making my bed daily is a pain in the ass for me. One reason is I sleep in a nest of blankets and pillows a certain way. I already have to reset everything once a week for a linens change. Hence making my bed all pretty is a pain in the ass. And again, timecost. Do I want to spend the equivalent of a month of my life making my damn bed? No. But I will admit it looks nice.
-Made up my face. My husband likes women in make-up and most days, I like to play with it, especially because I recently purchased all new eyeshadow and a few other new toys. But every few days, the timing is off. Why do a full face if you plant to take a shower in a few hours? There are a few things I know The Sps does for me, grudgingly, as they are deposits into the relationship bank account, so I am not about to get butthurt over make-up.
I should share the time he did my make-up for me. Hilarious. Can you say Skeletor?
-I have previously mentioned my paper hoard. I had a laundry basket filled with magazines, garden catalogues and other paper crap. I cleared out the whole damn basket. Yeah, it IS a big deal!
-I shucked and sorted about 12 little ears of glass corn and separated into the different colors. Something fun to plant and play with, in the time I saved not making my bed every day.
Grateful for:
1. Getting so many tasks complete!
2. Thesaurus. The paperback edition. I love the old book smell. I overuse the word “things”. Thesaurus is helping!
3. While not completely back on track with my DASH/MED/MIND/18-6 IF diet, I made it 12 hours, very easily.
Godspeed Y’all!
