Series – Future Self Journal – 17B – Adolphe Millot

My home already has an abundance of artwork on the walls, from a variety of artists, including family. I am the least talented artist of any kind in my family, embarrassing yet true. One of my birthday gifts was a painting from The Sps. I have a few painting I have hung on the wall around the house painted by my children. Each one we painted together, with one theme or color, yet each so them, so individual. Not only do I have the birthday painting from The Sps, but we have other paintings he has completed through the years blessing most rooms in the house. My mom is also a talented painter. She paints mainly for herself, but has had artwork commissioned in the past and has sold paintings at art expositions. I have three of her paintings displayed. I have purchased paintings from outside the family, so has The Sps. Art is meaningful to both of us.

My grandparents are the source of my love of gardening. My grandmother had calendars that used vintage prints of vegetables, which slipped my mind until I found one similar in style. Which I had to have (thank you Sps).

Grateful for finding a memory of my Grandmother in the art of Adolphe Millot, in a form I can touch and use and chat with every day. What, y’all don’t have conversations with your calendars as you add your world to theirs?

Grateful to James from the Gardening Channel. Tucker is adorable!! Wish my pup was as productive in the garden. Learned something important about Neem Oil.

Grateful for a full (too full) tummy. Cereal, pretzels and saltine crackers are crack rocks.
