My new mantra for the day. And as of 7:30 PM, it is working. Yeah, I look a little off and quirky spouting cravings are temporary out loud every hour or so, but if it’s harmless and it works, why not?
I have been noticing my cravings hit 3 hours after I eat. Every time. If I can power through a few minutes every few hours, I’ve got this. I’ve also found that while it helps to not have goodies in the house, I will find something to eat too much.
I do allow one day a week (grocery deliver day) to have a couple of my favorite snacks. Right now I’ll eat a whole bag of the Smartfood White Cheddar and a donut with maple icing. Last month it was everything bagels with garden veggie cream cheese.
Edit. Months later, my current grocery day splurges are chocolate covered pretzels and fresh bread to eat with herbed feta in oil.
Cravings Are Temporary
Grateful for:
1. Shining a light on the munching rats infesting my country the past 4 years. It’ll be ugly, but the mean must be seen.
2. Covid cases are heading back down in our area. I have my people who work in the medical field, the numbers are infuriating for me and potentially harmful to them. But we are Covid free!
3. New episodes of 90 Day FiancĂ©. The original series. I don’t enjoy some of the spin-offs.
Edits. Months later, Covid cases are heading back up, and we are starting to hear from over-worked medical professionals…AGAIN. Another reason to keep working on my health, that science hating anti-vaxxers all of the sudden decide meDiCIne Is GoOd when the universe shows them Covid is real…real shitty to your lungs. If something happens to me, with my kidneys, or heart or stroke or car accident, I have to hope there is room for me as those covid denying asshats clog up the medical system.
On my 90 Day FiancĂ© television watching, it’s clearly mostly manufactured now and no longer legit long distance love stories like in the beginning. I don’t watch the show at all anymore.
