Series – Future Self Journal – 13B – Setting Intention

I’ve unofficially added Daily Intention Setting to my daily to-do’s. It is on my master daily task list. I am having trouble keeping the intention, but setting intentions is going well. I’ve noticed the past two days I am less committed to all of it. Today I am a bit tired. 2020 has been extraordinarily exhausting. But keeping to my eating plan has been a challenge and I wonder if the lack of success in that regard is wearing on my resolve over and the lax adherence to good habits is seeping into even the small aspects of my day.

Edit in 2021. Setting intentions is still a habit I forget. I did remember today and I am working on visualization and setting intention as a twin task as they generally work together. I have the task on my master list still and I have a notecard with six bullet points to work on each day. Set Intention for the Day is on it.

So back to structure, setting deadlines and feeding the OCD beast. Let’s hope this helps!

Grateful for:

  1. Having food to miss. Millions wish they could always run downstairs and feed themselves and their families from a stocked fridge and stuffed cupboards.
  2. For the people willing to be vaccinated first. I am so grateful. Putting your body on the line as a tester for a potential vaccine or any medication is literal leadership. We Thank you!
  3. Rachel from Below Deck…the ball on Mz. Eat My Cooter. Of course, being a fellow female veteran, I get her. Telling the American bourgeois to Get Fucked. I like her.
