Green Onions! I planted them last year, during the summer. They survived in my herb spiral over the winter. Our winter got down to -20 degrees F for a couple of days. It was a mild winter. Which allowed these green onions to thrive under the mulch for at least 6 months. I noticed them there in the fall and just left them to see if they would survive. So I suppose I have my first completed experiment as well! A success!
