- Cut and dry sunflower heads.
- Identify and allow to remain on the plant seed corn
- Weed fence-line, scatter parsnip seeds for next year in select garden
- Hunt for standing water and eliminate unless dragonfly larvae confirmed.
- Cut plants along fence-line that cross property lines
- Last fertilization for winter squash to encourage blooms, as all fruitset must be done by Aug 31st to have a chance at edibility come hard frost.
- Check grapes for readiness to harvest. Noticed new grape set. Two rounds, same as last year on the Red Swenson vine.
- Lay more sod harvested from new converted yard. Use to prep new garden area that will be made via the lasagna garden method.
- Cut all spent blooms on the roses to encourage another round of blooms. Fertilized with high P K fertilizer.
- Weed the front garden
- Inventory dahlias, give any plants without buds a hit of high P fertilizer.
- Retrain the squash vines.
